Benefits
Premier Medical Associates offers a rich benefit package for their employees. Our company pays 88% of the health insurance premium for its full time employees and 76% of premium for part time employees. In addition, our company pays for the first 50% of the deductible. Our health insurance is a Highmark product that allows our employees and their family members to go to any health system in the Pittsburgh area.
We provide dental insurance through United Concordia and vision Insurance through Davis Vision at very affordable rates to our employees. Both the dental and vision insurance are Highmark products.
Premier Medical pays the premium for short term and long term disability for full time employees. This is a benefit that will provide employees with some income replacement should they need to take time off from work due to an illness or accident.
Employees working twenty or more hours per week get a life insurance and accidental death and dismemberment benefit of one times annual salary. Supplemental Life insurance is also available for the employee, spouse and children.
We offer a 401(k) profit sharing plan that helps employees save for their retirement needs. On day one, employees are eligible and vested in a safe harbor contribution of 3% of annual earnings. Once the employee completes two full years of service, they are eligible for additional profit sharing contributions.
Premier Medical also offers flexible medical and dependent reimbursement accounts that allow employees to have tax free deductions taken from their pay checks for medical expenses not covered by insurance or for daycare expenses.
Personal time and vacation time is also provided to our employees. All full time employees receive 40 hours of personal time each year. Part time employees receive prorated personal time. Vacation time is accrued each pay period and is based on years of service.
In addition to the above benefits, Premier Medical offers employees the opportunity to join a credit union, purchase several supplemental AFLAC products and participate in an employee assistance program where many free services are offered.
