Premier Medical adds pain management services

Premier Medical Associates continues to expand with the addition of a pain management specialist.

Dr. M. Bud Lateef has been hired to offer pain management services at Premier, adding to a growing list of over 20 specialties offered by the Monroeville-based physician practice. Lateef received a medical degree from the Saba School of Medicine in Saba, Netherlands, and completed a medical residency at UPMC in physical medicine and rehabilitation. He also did a fellowship in anesthesia pain management at UPMC and serves as an impairment-rating examiner for the state.

“Premier Medical Associates is excited to build the continuum of care model by adding the pain management specialty,” CEO Mark DeRubeis said in a prepared statement. Premier is owned by health insurer Highmark Inc. and has 100 doctors practicing at 10 locations.
