Adult and pediatric-age patients can receive asthma and allergy care from Dr. Robert Otte.
Asthma, COPD and chronic coughs often require advanced treatment and ongoing health management from a knowledgeable specialist to provide relief and improve the lifestyle for the patient.
Similarly, in the broad and complex area of allergies, our allergist will consult and recommend any necessary testing to diagnose the presence of an allergic condition and recommend treatment options from at-home and lifestyle choices to medical options such as immunotherapy (allergy shots).
Patients can be seen in our Penn Hills and North Versailles locations.
Mental health is a vital piece of overall health and wellness.
Adverse health situations, chronic pain and serious illness may result in anxiety, depression and other mental challenges that jeopardize the management and recovery of a patient’s health. At Premier we strongly value the behavioral health component of patient care.
Our professional team of social workers is committed to collaborating with other Premier specialists and primary care providers to ensure patients have as much support as possible to meet their health challenges.
We accept calls during office hours. We have a private voicemail system for missed calls. We return missed calls promptly.

Our ENT providers deliver a higher level of expertise and can more properly diagnose and treat diseases of the ears, nose, sinuses, larynx (voice box), mouth, and throat, as well as structures of the neck and face. Read more about what is an otolaryngologist.
Our ENT physician performs surgical procedures at AHN Surgery Center, Forbes Hospital and UPMC St. Margaret’s Hospital.

For less invasive surgery needs, laparoscopic and DaVinci robotic surgery is available.
For our patients that need hospitalization, Premier has an experienced team of hospitalists caring for those patients 24 hours a day, seven days a week. This is an innovative advancement in patient care where there is a “temporary” handoff from our primary care doctors to the hospitalist team.
Hospitalists provide round-the-clock care and greater communication to patients and family members. As part of Premier’s collaborative approach to care, our hospitalists actively communicate with primary care and any needed specialists during an inpatient stay. They have ready access to the patients’ “live” electronic health record. This ready access to a patient’s condition, recent test results and progress across the entire day allowing the hospitalist to administer the most appropriate care.
Our program provides patients a higher standard of care, which often results in shorter hospital stays and fewer readmissions.
The diagnoses, treatment and management of serious infections and diseases may occasionally require the attention of an infectious disease specialist. These specialists may be asked to collaborate with our primary care doctors on the diagnosis and treatment of challenging conditions that require advanced training in infections and immunology.
At AHN Forbes Hospital and UPMC East, the infectious disease team works with Premier hospitalists in treating specific infectious diseases that may pose a serious health risk and/or may be contagious. They also provide insight and support when treatment challenges arise particularly when antibiotics are being used.
For adults in need of specialized primary care that focuses on treating adult illnesses, diseases and chronic conditions, internal medicine is often the more suitable choice. Together, internal medicine works with patients to realize a comprehensive overview of each patient’s health, with a focus on preventive care, health screenings, treatment and management of diseases and chronic conditions.
